Permits Issued for Dairy Warehouse in Springfield Gardens
Building permits have just been issued for a 2-story, warehouse structure, at 161-02 Rockaway Boulevard in Springfield Gardens, Queens. The facility will house the new headquarters and distribution center of Bartlett Dairy and is being developed in-house under the clever name of, .
The building will feature 39,940 square feet of refrigerated warehousing space, 19-loading dock doors, and square feet of corporate office area. Plans also include a total of 85 parking spaces, for both employee cars, and company delivery trucks.
Last year under a separate permit, general contractor, , broke ground on the project, but only in order to build a smaller, accessory structure. Totaling just 5,225 square feet, Bartlett will exclusively use this for fleet vehicle maintenance.
The project site is industrially zoned and spans square feet. In June of 2020, Bartlett acquired the lot from the New York City Economic Development Corporation for $4.1 million.
Designed by , Bartlett's new facility will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is expected to begin on the main warehouse right away.
