Rockaway Newspaper Plant Purchased for $39M

A large newspaper printing facility, located at 100 Commons Way in Rockaway, New Jersey has just been acquired for $39 million. Investment giants, JP Morgan Asset Management, and Ivy Realty teamed up to purchase the property from an unknown buyer in a deal brokered by Newmark.

Amassing 352,461 square feet, the Class-B facility has 150,756 square feet of manufacturing/printing space and 57,116 square feet of warehouse and distribution space. It has a total of 17 loading docks, capable of handling full tractor-trailer setups. The building also contains office space, a data center, a 257-vehicle parking garage, and an on-site post office. Sitting on close to 46-acres, the property even has a solar panel farm that provides discounted energy.

Fully leased out to Gannett, the parent company of USA Today, the plant prints multiple New Jersey newspapers and publications. These include The Record, Herald News, several offerings from Greater Media Newspapers, three papers from Gannett's own brands, and over 40 local newspapers for various New Jersey communities.
