Second Phase at Edge Collective in Downtown St. Petersburg Gains Approval

The second phase of The Edge Collective, a mixed-use development in downtown St. Petersburg’s Edge District, has gained approval. The St. Petersburg City Council, acting as the Community Redevelopment Agency, gave unanimous approval to the project. Edge Collective II will include approximately 360 luxury apartment units, amenities along with 45,000 square feet of commercial and retail space and 260 parking spaces.  The studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments will be contained in two buildings, a 20-story building on the corner of 1st Avenue South and 11th street, and a six-story building on Central Avenue. The commercial space will be on the ground floor of the two buildings and connected by a walkway. Two vacant buildings will be demolished to make way for Edge Collective II. The first phase of Edge Collective, highlighted by the 163-room Moxy Hotel to be built on Central Avenue, which will include a rooftop pool, restaurant and bar, as well as lobby bar, coffee shop and retail space is under construction. The existing four-story 17,000 square foot building located next to the site of the Moxy will be refurbished and the two buildings will be joined by an outdoor garden and retail area. The Moxy is projected to open in early 2024. Groundbreaking for Edge Collective II is expected in 2024 with completion in 2026.
