Senior Housing Development Under Review in Brookline
Balfour Senior Living and Welltower, Inc. are proposing a new senior living community on a 3.87-acre site on the east side of the former Newbury College Campus. The existing historic Mitton House will be renovated and the 6 other existing structures on the site will be demolished as part of this proposal. The proposed senior living community consists of 160 residential units: approximately 80 independent living, 40 assisted living, and 40 memory care. Facility amenities will include a large centralized dining room with adjacent great room, lounge, salon, indoor swimming pool, fitness center, library and upper-floor sky bar. 98 parking spaces will be provided on-site, 43 of which will be covered, and the remaining 55 surface spaces.
