South Coast Improvement awarded $7 million design-build renovation

South Coast Improvement Company (SCI), a design-build general contractor serving New England and the Mid-Atlantic states, recently won a design-build contract for a renovation/addition at Oriol Healthcare’s Oakdale Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 76 North Main Street in West Boylston, MA.

The $7 million project will begin in October 2018 and finish in early 2020. It will feature the aforementioned addition to connect the two existing wings of the facility and improve the flow of patient/staff traffic. Additionally, the main entrance of the building will be reconfigured to again improve traffic flow. Other project deliverables include the construction of a new kitchen, the conversion of patient rooms from doubles to singles and a complete evaluation of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing.

JACA Architects of Quincy, Massachusetts will be the project architects.
