St. John Properties Promotes Charlton Kilgore to Director of Base Business Construction, Virginia and Central Maryland

St. John Properties, Inc., a commercial real estate development and management company that has developed more than 23 million square feet of space across 11 states, has announced the promotion of Charlton Kilgore to Director of Base Building Construction for the Virginia and Central Maryland Division. Kilgore has worked with the company since 2019.

Kilgore will continue to lead the company’s in-house Base Building Construction team in the execution of all ground-up construction activities of commercial office, flex/R&D, retail, and industrial/warehouse product types in the Northern Virginia and Central Maryland region. This encompasses the day-to-day management of all construction personnel such as project managers and superintendents, third-party subcontractors including engineers and architects and the oversight of construction schedules and budgets.

St. John Properties’ development pipeline throughout Frederick County, Maryland and Northern Virginia currently exceeds 2.3 million square feet of space, with signature business communities including Ashburn Crossing, an 80-acre business community in Ashburn, Virginia comprising more than 570,000 square feet of flex/R&D space, Leesburg Tech Park, a 160,000 square foot business community in Leesburg, Virginia and Riverside Tech Park, a 70-acre business community with more than 750,000 square feet of flex/R&D and retail space in Frederick, Maryland.

Kilgore has more than 13 years of commercial real estate and construction experience. Prior to St. John Properties, he spent nearly eight years working with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company as Project Manager where he managed commercial construction projects throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park and also studied at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
