Suffolk Hires Peter Gasparini as EVP of National Operations and Chris Mills as EVP of Business Development to Drive Operational Excellence and Accelerate Company Expansion

Suffolk, one of the largest and most innovative real estate and construction enterprises in the country, is announcing the addition of two industry veterans to its national executive leadership team. Peter Gasparini joins Suffolk as Executive Vice President, National Operations, and Chris Mills as Executive Vice President, Business Development. The strategic hires enhance the executive team with additional expertise and will help ensure that operational excellence and functional expertise are in alignment across all regions and sectors.

Mr. Gasparini joins Suffolk with more than 35 years of industry experience. His impressive portfolio includes oversight of significant projects in three countries, seventeen U.S. states and three Canadian provinces. He will help drive the National Operations team as it continues its successful track record of delivering efficient, on-time and on-budget projects around the country. Mr. Gasparini will work closely with key units such as Mission Control and Regional Operations to help resolve operational challenges, optimize critical business processes, and implement change management. Mr. Gasparini will be based in Suffolk Headquarters in Boston and will report to Tim Stroud, National President and Chief Operating Officer at Suffolk.

Mr. Mills brings a wealth of experience to his role. During his 31-year tenure at Plaza Construction, he held several leadership positions, including President and Chief Operation Officer, where he was responsible for a team of more than 500 professionals in seven regional offices. He has a passion for innovation, technology, analytics and the development of data-driven standards for complex projects. Mr. Mills will focus on national business development efforts to expand Suffolk’s footprint and drive strategic growth. He will be based in Suffolk’s New York office and will report to Ralph Esposito, National President at Suffolk.

Suffolk has a reputation for managing iconic, sophisticated and complicated building construction projects including the Boston Children’s Hospital Hale Family Clinical Building; Brigham and Women’s Hospital Building for the Future; Encore Boston Harbor Resort and Casino; Logan International Airport Terminal E; guitar-shaped Seminole Hard Rock Resort and Casino in Hollywood, Florida; Jade Signature; Broad Institute; Boston University Center for Computing & Data Science, the largest net zero project in the northeast region; Northeastern University Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex; Winthrop Center, the largest Passive House office space in the world; 6th and San Julian; interior renovations at the iconic Waldorf Astoria renovation in New York City and Capital Records building in Los Angeles; San Francisco International Airport; Dallas Fort Worth International Airport ; Millennium Tower; Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residence in Boston, among many other projects in the commercial, life sciences, healthcare, education, mission critical, transportation and federal government sectors.
