The Farrnad House - Supportive Building Proposed for Dumbarton Oaks
Plans have been proposed to construct a two-story plus basement building for offices, studios, and office uses. Named The Farrand House, the proposal also calls for associated operating space and landscaping to accompany the structure. The program aims to expand the youth education program, support resident and visiting scholars and artists, invite the broader community to engage with Dumbarton Oats, integrate the building and existing landforms and topography, embrace contextual materials and forms of Dumbarton's existing buildings, and to Achieve the highest sustainability goals possible.
