The Miroza Tower Rises in Yonkers
Amgad Belal, a structural engineer at Christie Engineering, has shared a photo of the rising concrete superstructure at Miroza Tower; a 27-story, residential tower, going up at 44 Hudson Street in Yonkers, New York.
Developed by ; a real estate investment company, based in Tel-Aviv, and designed by , the building will contain rental apartments. Approximately 10% of these units will be dedicated to affordable housing.
Tenant amenities are to include two separate residential lounges, a landscaped rooftop, a playroom for younger children, a party room, a library, a fitness center, and a conference room. Plans also call for square feet of retail space, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.
At the beginning of the year, the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency (YIDA) approved financial incentives, which will support the project's construction. The incentives include a $5.8 million sales tax exemption, a $1.3 million mortgage recording tax exemption, and a 20-year payment in lieu of taxes agreement valued at $12.4 million.
