Transit-Oriented Tower Project Tops Out in Jersey City
General contractor, , has just topped out the concrete superstructure of a 24-story, residential tower project, at 270 Johnston Avenue (alternately addressed as 262 Johnston Ave.) in Jersey City, NJ.
Located right across the street from NJ Transit's Liberty State Park light rail station, this transit-oriented development is set to become the tallest building in Jersey City's blossoming Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood.
Developed by Alpine Residential and Fields Grade Development, the tower will contain rental apartments (including 11 affordable housing units). Dwellings are to be offered a variety of floorplans, ranging in size from studios to 3-bedroom configurations. All interiors have been designed by GRT Architects, and roughly 70 units will feature either an outdoor terrace or a balcony.
The building will also offer square feet of retail space, split between the ground and second floors, as well as approximately 12,000 square feet of tenant amenities.
Residents will have access to a high-end fitness center, a lounge, a game room, a communal kitchen, a co-working area, and a roof deck with a pool and grilling stations. As the icing on the cake, the tower will provide fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline.
Designed by , 270 Johnston Avenue stands feet tall and will total square feet upon completion. Construction is expected to wrap up by the Winter of 2024.
