Windows Going In for 13-Story Mixed-Use Project in Gowanus

General contractor, , recently shared a progress photo depicting the completed installation of most of the windows at 204 4th Avenue (alternately addressed as 653 Union Street); a 13-story, mixed-use project, going up in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood.

Jointly developed by Avery Hall and Gindi Capital, the structure will feature up-scale apartments, and square feet of ground floor retail space. Plans also call for a number of tenant amenities including an outdoor pool and rooftop lounge, a fitness center, a co-working area, a dog bathing station, and a bicycle storage room.

Bound by Union Street, 4th Avenue, and Sackett Street, the project site spans square feet and was previously occupied by a Speedway gas station.

Designed by , the topped out building stands feet tall and totals square feet. Back in May, the team secured a $110 million loan to finance the project. Issued by Affinius Capital, this influx of capital is being used to fund all construction costs from the ground up. Work is scheduled to wrap up by January of 2025.
