About 33 New York Ave

Framingham, Massachusetts

33 New York Ave is a 10-acre parcel that contains a single, one-story building, which formerly housed the Metro West's Daily News editorial staff, sales team, and a printing press. The facility has been vacant since December 2017, when the newspaper relocated to a new office at 1 Speen St. in Framingham.

King Street Properties plans to renovate the building and expand it with a 9,000-square-foot addition, bringing the total square footage to roughly 107,350, according to information provided to the Conservation Commission. The company also plans to add 49 parking spaces, bringing the total number to 320.

In addition to renovating the former Daily News building at 33 New York Ave., the company plans to make parking improvements, create new pedestrian walkways, upgrade the stormwater management system and add new landscaping elements, according to paperwork filed with the city.
