The Empire State Building (ESB) is a 103-story, Art Deco skyscraper, located at 20 West 34th Street in Midtown Manhattan. The ESB primarily contains office space, but also has a restaurant, and observatory decks on floors 86 and 103. Originally constructed between 1930 to 1931, the steel-framed building was finished ahead of schedule and under budget. It was the tallest building in the world until 1971, but still remains one of the most famous and recognizable buildings on earth. The ESB was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon Associates and constructed by Starrett Bros. & Eken.
