About 1600 Bermuda Hundred Rd Chester, VA Developers plan for a $300 million indoor farming campus on up to 120 acres within the industrial park that’s located in Chesterfield’s southeast corner at the Meadowville Technology Park. The project will be developed in multiple phases over the next six years. The first building will consist of a 100,000-square-foot vertical indoor farming facility to be dedicated to growing strawberries. The total number of indoor farming buildings needed for the project has not yet been decided but it is expected to be fewer than 10 buildings each being around 100,000 square feet. The farm’s produce is expected to be in Northeast stores by late 2023 or early 2024.
