14-Story Mixed-Use Project Approved in Journal Square

The Jersey City Planning Board recently approved a 14-story, mixed-use project, set for 232 Sip Avenue (aka 232-238 Sip Avenue) in Journal Square. Developed by , the building is set to contain rental apartments, offered in studio and one to three-bedroom configurations. Residents will have access to an enclosed amenity space and a 4,173-square-foot outdoor roof deck.

The building will also feature square feet of office space on the lower floors, and square feet of ground-floor retail space. Plans further call for a cellar level, a bicycle storage area, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet altogether.

The square foot project site is zoned within the Journal Square 2060 Redevelopment Plan area. It is currently occupied by a parking lot, but no structural demolition will be required prior to the start of construction.
