Daniel René Commercial Real Estate, a Boston-based family-run real estate investment company, has acquired 321 Columbus Avenue, a 24,920-square-foot South End office building built in 1906 with abundant period detail, for $16 million in cash. The sale amounts to $642.06 per square foot. 321 Columbus Avenue’s seller, Renaissance Properties of Boston, acquired the building for $114,000, or $4.57 per square foot, in May 1989. 321 Columbus Avenue features a renovated, first-class interior with hand-milled mahogany detailing and is located steps to the Back Bay rapid transit station and Copley Square, in addition to the multiple shops and restaurants of the South End and Back Bay neighborhoods.
