Plans are under review for the redevelopment of the two-story stone, steel, concrete, and brick commercial/industrial building that was built as an auto repair garage in approximately 1924 at 2329 - 2335 Champlain St. NW. The proposed building will contain 33 residential units with one level of below grade parking containing approximately nine vehicle parking spaces, along with general storage rooms, and a fitness center. Plans for this project were approved in 2006 but never constructed, due to financial challenges, the inability to secure all government approvals, and issues related to subsurface contamination on the Property, and the Board’s approval expired.
