Affordable Housing Lottery Kicks Off for 40 Bruckner Boulevard

NYC Housing Connect has started an affordable housing lottery encompassing 110 units within a new, 12-story residential building, going up at 40 Bruckner Boulevard in the Bronx's Mott Haven neighborhood. Eligible applicants must earn between $98,915 and $198,250 annually, or sit at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI). Applications will be accepted either online or by mail until October 20, 2023. Developed by , the building is set to contain rental apartments in total, spanning the top 11 floors.

In addition to residential units, the ground floor will offer  square feet of retail space, as well as 629 square feet of community facilities.

40 Bruckner will feature 30,000 square feet of tenant amenities, including a fitness center, a swimming pool, an indoor-outdoor sunken garden in the lobby, a dog park, a children's playroom and playground, media and recreation rooms, a business center, a roof deck, and an outdoor terrace. Plans also call for a bicycle storage area, as well as an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , with serving as the general contractor, the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet.

Spanning square feet, the irregularly shaped project site is bound by Bruckner Boulevard, Alexander Avenue, and East 132nd Street. Construction is still ongoing and work is estimated to finish by the winter of 2024.
