Boston University Files 2023 IMP, 400,000+ SF of New Space
Boston University has filed a 2023 Institutional Master Plan for the Charles River Campus.
Under review, the IMP calls for 425,000 square-feet of new construction across four new buildings along Commonwealth Avenue, including a 16-story, 250-foot academic tower at 640 Commonwealth Avenue featuring 355,000 square-feet of student and classroom floorspace, as well as a new 70,000 square-foot building to house the Pardee School of Global Studies at 250 Bay State Road.
Additionally, the IMP calls for the retrofitting of the existing Student Village Residence III, Mugar Memorial Library, and Warren Towers.
