Catholic University Seeks Two-Year Extension on New Residence Hall Approvals

The Catholic University of America has filed an application requesting a two-year extension for their approved residence hall project. The project is set to house 366 students. The school moved forward with the construction of the Conway School of Nursing first after the pandemic highlighted the priority of medical care and the Conway family made generous grants to the University specifically allocated for the nursing program. While the Residence Hall remains a need and priority of the University, there is currently not a housing shortage. Per the filing, the University has also been unable to obtain dedicated financing for the Residence Hall at this time.
