Construction Underway Affordable Housing Community in St. Petersburg
Construction crews are on site clearing the land and installing underground pipes at a new affordable housing community in St. Petersburg. Shell Dash Townhomes will add 10 affordable housing units to south St. Petersburg. The site has been cleared and a groundbreaking ceremony was held in December 2022, however, due to zoning, permitting issues and rising construction costs the project was put on hold. Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties, the City of St. Petersburg and Exact-Shell Dash LLC are partnering on the project. The three-bedroom, three-bath townhomes will be two stories and will have a single-car garage. Located along St. Petersburg’s 16th Street Business Corridor, the development borders the Campbell Park Neighborhood.
