Further Progress for Massive Park Avenue Tower Proposal
Currently, in public review, David Karnovsky's art deco-style tower proposal for 175 Park Avenue is now a few steps closer to becoming one of Midtown's newest architectural gems. The City Planning Commission has now finished reviewing the proposal, and a final environmental impact statement has been submitted. Next, the City Planning Commission will vote, and the proposal will be sent to the City Council. 175 Park was designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and is being developed jointly by RXR Realty and TF Cornerstone. The mixed-use office building will stand 1,486 feet tall and contain approximately 2.1 million square feet. It will also have a hotel with 500 rooms.
