Hotel Nears Top Out in Lower Manhattan

At 145 Bowery, on Manhattan's Lower East Side, an 18-story hotel tower has almost topped out. The 127,000 sqft building is being developed by Lightstone Group for Marriott International. This new location will be branded and run under their subsidiary banner, Moxy Hotels. It will have 303 rooms.

General contractor, Leeding Builder's Group is working to finish the superstructure and is now just a few floors away. Designed by architecture firm, Stonehill & Taylor, the tower will stand 193 feet tall once it finally tops out.

The tower sits right beside 139 Bowery, which is a residential tower simultaneously under construction. While the two projects appear to be in similar stages of the build process, they are in no way related to one another. Work on 145 Bowery is expected to finish in the spring of next year.
