Interns Tour The Langley School Expansion Construction
The interns for Coakley Williams Construction participated in a site walk at The Langley School in Mclean, VA. The interns toured the construction site and learned what the job is like for a Project Manager, Superintendent, and Assistant Superintendent. The project's manager, Nicholas Yager, said, “My favorite part of working on The Langley School project has been participating in engagement opportunities with the school, such as classroom teachings, hard hat tours, and beam signing events.”
The new state-of-the-art building on its 9.2-acre McLean campus, which they said would support the school’s evolving program. The school this summer will raze an existing library building and begin construction on the new Crossroads Building, scheduled to open in fall 2022. The facility will house the Langley’s preschool, junior-kindergarten, kindergarten, fifth-grade and after-school programs, and will have a library/media center and a multipurpose space as well. The building is part of the school’s Next Generation Campaign to expand Langley’s programs and learning environment for current and future students.
