Map Amendment Filed to Rezone H St. Site

A map amendment has been filed to rezone a roughly 8,500 square-foot site at the corner of H St. & 8th St. The property currently features a two-story brick building occupied by a convenience store and a dentist. The applicant requests a map amendment to rezone the property to the NC-17 Zone District. The NC-17 zone is specifically intended to permit mixed-use development at a moderate- to medium density with an emphasis on the provision of retail uses. The new zoning would allow for a max building height of 70 ft with a FAR of 4.2.
