Permits Filed for 50+ Story Residential Tower in Brooklyn
The NYC Department of Buildings has received permit filings for a 52-story mixed-use tower at 589 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The 597,824 sqft tower would be developed by RedSky Capital, and reportedly contain 592 rental apartment units, spread across 465,000 sqft. Beyer Blinder Belle is behind the design, which also incorporates over 37,000 sqft of ground-floor retail space. In addition, 589 Fulton would have an indoor sports and recreation facility, and potentially even office space. Demolition has already begun on the existing site. This tower is yet another major addition to Brooklyn's growing skyline, and it will further the redevelopment trend of the Downtown area.
