Permits Filed for Affordable Housing Project in Morrisania
Building permits have just been filed for a 6-story, affordable housing development, at 1405 Boston Road in the Bronx's Morrisania neighborhood.
Developed by , it will contain studio apartments. These are to consist of supportive housing, income-restricted, and Affordable Independent Residences for Seniors (AIRS) units.
The building will also offer social services offices, a large multi-purpose room, a semi-commercial kitchen, a landscaped backyard, and a computer room.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. Spanning two separate lots, the new development will occupy a presently vacant lot, as well as the site of a 3-story residential building next door. That building would have to be demolished.
