Plans Approved for Affordable Housing Project at 2229 M St.
Plans have been approved to construct 120 affordable housing units has been elaborated on, showing the layout and unit mix. It will feature 55 studios, 54 one bedroom, and 11 two bedroom units.
Of note, the plan required a variance to alleviate the parking spaces from 20 to 14, which will be made of 8 standard parking spaces, and 2 car-share spaces. The structure will also feature a 2,800 sq. ft. green roof.
Plans call for a mix of studios through 2 bedrooms with amenities including a community room, fitness center, and roof deck.
Outlier Realty Capital had acquired the property at 2229 M Street NE for $3,450,000 on April 22nd of this year.
