Trachtenberg Architects is a Berkeley based firm established in 1991. We have expertise in both residentail and commerical architecture. In addition to a wide range of residential commissions, a partial list of our completed commercial and institutional projects include buildings for Acme Bread Company, ACLU Headquarters in SF, Addis Creson Design, The Berkeley Bowl Marketplace, Backroads, Cody’s Books (on Fourth Street and in Union Square), Children’s Hospital Oakland, Grasshopper Restaurant, KPFA Radio, MIG, Inc., The “La Fariine Building” on Solano Avenue, Peet’s Coffee Headquarters, The Trust for Public Land Headquarters in SF, and Saul’s Delicatessen in Berkeley. Specialties: Residential, Commercial and Institutional architecture. We work at all scales from small renovation work to large new buildings.
