20-Story Tower Rises Above Podium Levels in Inwood

General contractor, , and subcontractor, Highbury Concrete, have made significant progress forming the superstructure for a 20-story, mixed-use tower, rising at 4650 Broadway in Manhattan's Inwood neighborhood.

The structure now stands approximately 10 stories tall, with around 6 floors already stacked above the podium. According to Highbury, the project will ultimately require 16,000 cubic yards of concrete, and 1,640 tons of steel rebar.

Developed by , the highrise will contain rental apartments, as well as square feet of retail space. Plans also call for 78,170 square feet of community facility space, and an enclosed, basement-level parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is estimated to finish by 2025. The new development replaces a 2-story parking garage building, which used to contain a dealership for the long-defunct automobile manufacturer, Packard.
