23-Story One Bromfield Tower Under Review for Downtown Crossing
Plans are now under review by the Boston Planning & Development Agency for a 325-foot, 23-story office tower in Downtown Crossing. Midwood Investment & Development proposed a 441,000 square-foot building in a letter of intent back in March, and has now officially submitted plans for official review.
The project will demolish four low-rise merchant buildings off Washington Street and include 59,000 SF of all new ground-floor and below-grade retail space spanning 3-stories with approximately 382,000 SF of office space above. Due to the location above Boston's Downtown Crossing MBTA station, the tower won't include any parking spaces.
Construction is expected to start in the second quarter of 2022.
