8-Story Mixed-Use Approved in Kew Gardens
The NYC Mayor's Office has just approved an application for an 8-story mixed-use project, at 77-63 Vleigh Place in Kew Gardens, Queens. Submitted by VP Capital Holdings LLC, the application requested map and text amendments in order to facilitate the project.
The new building is set to contain rental apartments (including 36 affordable units) and square feet of retail space. Plans also call for 10,557 square feet of community facilities, an enclosed parking garage with enough room for vehicles, and a storage area for up to 63 bicycles.
Designed by , 77-63 Vleigh Place will stand feet tall and total square feet. An existing building on the project site burned down in 2016, and the site was cleared and excavated as part of an NYC DEP monitored clean-up. This is expected to save time during the construction of the new development.
