Atlantic Avenue Mixed-Use Project Nears Final Approval

A large mixed-use development, being proposed for 1045 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, is just one step away from being approved. The NYC Mayor's Office is expected to grant the final approval of this development within the week. The application submitted by Atlantic Brooklyn LLC for this long-awaited project requests zoning map and text amendments to facilitate a new 17-story building. The structure will contain 426 residential units and 63,000 sqft of commercial space. Totem is the developer behind the project, and Dencityworks Architecture is responsible for its design.

At this point in time, Brooklyn Community Board 3, the Borough President, the City Planning Commission, and the City Council have all voted in favor of the project. Now the Mayor's Office will have 5 days to review the application and can either give the project its final seal of approval or issue a veto.
