Attainable Housing Development Proposed in Sarasota
Tampa-based developer Blue Sky Communities has submitted plans for an attainable housing community in Sarasota that will offer 96 apartment units on land owned by the City of Sarasota. Plans call for a four-story 90-unit residential building along with a three-story mixed-use building with 3,040 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor and six apartments above. The community will include 106 parking spaces and bicycle racks. The rents for the one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments will be priced for individuals making less than 80% of the area median income.
