Boerum Hill Residential Building Takes Shape
A new, 11-story residential building at 542 Atlantic Avenue is quickly rising in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. The development is the work of Atlantic Gardens Residence LLC, and general contractor, Pro-h Development Inc, is diligently working to construct the final floors. When completed, the structure will hold 43 condominium units and 2 multi-level townhouses.
The design is the vision of Issac & Stern Architects and is supposed to mimic the historic and pre-war aesthetic that so many of New York's older buildings still retain. A quick glance at the aluminum framing progress on the bottom floors reveals the art deco-themed windows that will adorn the face of the building.
542 Atlantic Avenue is expected to complete in 2022, at which time it will offer upscale housing options and convenient walkable access to Atlantic Terminal. It's one of the many new housing developments in Boerum Hill that seeks to combine luxury living with Downtown Brooklyn's extensive public transportation network.
