Borger Joins The Donohoe Family of Companies
Two of Washington’s oldest and most highly respected commercial real estate companies have consolidated effective January 1, 2023 – the 139-year-old The Donohoe Companies, Inc. and the 93-year-old Borger Management Inc.

Combined with Donohoe’s five existing divisions, no other company in the region has the breadth of services and experience of our legacy organizations.”
Donohoe currently provides five lines of commercial real estate services through Donohoe Development, Donohoe Construction, Donohoe Hospitality, Donohoe Real Estate Services, and Complete Building Services. Donohoe Real Estate Services will be renamed Donohoe Commercial Real Estate, and a sixth business line will provide multifamily residential property management under the name Borger Residential. Borger’s highly respected leadership and management teams will continue to manage the business.
Borger’s commercial property management portfolio will integrate 2.5M square feet of managed office and retail space with Donohoe Commercial Real Estate’s offices in Bethesda, the District, and Tysons Corner. Joseph Borger, who has been named Senior Managing Director of Donohoe Commercial Real Estate, said, “I’m pleased these two multigenerational family businesses that have worked together for decades have joined. We can now offer our clients access to many more resources.”
Borger’s residential arm will be renamed Borger Residential and will remain at its Washington, DC headquarters. Arianna Royster has been named President of Borger Residential and its portfolio of 95 apartment buildings, including over 9,000 multifamily units.
Claudia Good will be Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for both Donohoe Commercial Real Estate and Borger Residential. Thomas Borger, Borger’s Chairman, will join the board of The Donohoe Companies, Inc. in 2023.
