Archer Towers Update 10/01/21

Concrete Flowing at Jamaica Tower Project

Foundation work at the Archer Towers project in Jamaica is currently in full swing. Many of the perimeter foundation walls have now been poured, and a concrete pumping rig was seen on site this week filling up the remaining molds.

Gotham Ready Mix has been the primary concrete supplier for this project, and several of its mixers were lined up on-site. For larger jobs that require multiple loads (such as this one), the dispatching of trucks in a calculated manner is especially important. Delivery increments are precisely scheduled at the plant to ensure a continuous flow of product throughout the duration of the pour.

Developed by BRP Companies, Archer Towers will top out at 24-stories and contain 605 housing units. Totaling 542,000 sqft, it will also have room for 224 parking spaces, and 20,000 sqft of amenity space. The project was originally estimated to finish by the summer of this year, but due to COVID-19 delaying the start of construction, it's likely that the build will continue through next year, and into 2023.
