Construction Kicks Off at Terrace Manor
Construction is underway at Terrace Manor, The new, all0affordable housing project in Anacostia.
The event was hosted by DC Attorney General Karl Racine, DC Housing Finance Agency, DC Department of Housing and Community Development. The ceremony was also attended by Councilmember Trayon White, as well as advocates and former residents of the building.
The L shaped building will feature 130-units, offering 1 BR, 2 BR, and 3 BR units for families in DC's Ward 8.
The development will also include 60 vehicular and 40 long term bicycle spaces in a below grade garage. The project will also have some rooftop solar panels and a community garden and bio-pond in the rear courtyard.
