Construction Kicks off for Next Phase of Westside at Shady Grove
The partnership of EYA, Bozzuto, and the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County have announced construction is underway for The Hurston, the next building within the 45-acre Westside at Shady Grove project. The Hurston will feature 268 units, 81 designated affordable, along with 21,000 square feet of retail and 7,400 square foot of office for the HOC. Amenities at the project will include a zero-edge swimming pool, indoor and outdoor fire pits, and co-working amenities. Once complete, Westside at Shady Grove will include 1,014 apartments, 406 townhomes, 100 condominiums, around 80,000 square feet of retail space, and a new public library.
