Construction Permits Submitted for 7-Story Overtown Residential Tower
Housing Trust Group has applied for construction permits for the first phase of Rainbow Village. The permits call for a 7-story, 310 unit tower that will be for affordable and workplace housing. 102 units will be affordable housing, 52 units will be extremely low income housing, and the remaining 156 units will be workforce housing.
Designed by Zyscovich, this phase 1 tower will pave the way for the remainder of Rainbow Village. In total, Rainbow Village will include over 1900 new residential units, a new MDCPS K-8 Magnet School, a 1.5 acre Neighborhood Community Park, a community center, an arts and culture museum, tech hub centers, and retail space.
