Demolition Underway Ahead of 26-Story New Rochelle Tower

Several buildings are currently being demolished in New Rochelle ahead of the 26-story, mixed-use tower project, soon to commence at 500 Main Street. While some structures have already been torn down, others are still waiting their turn for the wrecking ball.

Developed by , the new building will contain rental apartments, and a select amount of affordable housing units, available in studio, one, and two-bedroom configurations. The ground floor will have square feet of retail space and a 23,000 square foot church. Plans also call for an enclosed, 5-story parking garage with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , 500 Main Street will stand feet tall and total square feet. It will offer several luxurious amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a resident lounge, a swimming pool, rooftop terraces, and an automated parking system. The project will create over 300 construction jobs, and when complete, almost 900 people will call the building home.
