Developer Increases 66 Galen Life-Sciences Pitch to 450K SF, Two Phases
Boston Development Group increased the scope of their original development plans at 66 Galen Street in Watertown. Plans for a phase 2 of development will bring total square footage to 450,000 and the project will be built without a tenant yet secured.
The first phase would bring online 200,000 SF of office and lab space, with plans to more than double that in a second phase not yet dated.
The developer acquired the site in May 2019 for $7M. The project, designed by Elkus Manfredi, would include 277 parking spaces along with 44,000 square feet of open space. The new building would target LEED Gold certification.
