Developers Break Ground on Edge District Development

Developer Belpointe OZ has broken ground on a 15-story development in St. Petersburg’s Edge District. “We are thrilled that construction is underway on this exciting new project in St. Petersburg,” said Belpointe OZ’s CEO, Brandon Lacoff. “This development will offer residents the perfect blend of luxury and convenience, with easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment options. We are excited to see this project come to life and to contribute to the growth and development of the St. Petersburg community.” Belpointe submitted revised plans in December. The new plans increased the number of residential units from 254 to 269. The development will feature two residential towers along with retail space and a 355-space parking garage.  The two 15-story residential buildings will contain a combined 269 rental units, starting on the 5th floor.  On the lower four floors, there will be space for 27,028 square feet of retail and 4,400 square feet of space for a leasing office and two resident lobbies.  The 5th floor will feature residential units along with a clubroom, fitness center, an outdoor pool deck, and a landscaped courtyard. The 6th-14th floors will contain 24 residential units per level, or 12 per building.  A roof deck on the 15th floor will offer views of St. Petersburg.  Plans also call for a pedestrian walk, with retail space, along Baum Avenue with a park at the corner of 1st Avenue and Dr. MLK Jr. Street.
