Dominium Acquires Affordable Housing Community in Fort Myers

We are proud to announce the successful closing of Aria Landings (formerly known as The Brittany), a 320-unit property located in Fort Myers, FL. With this closing, the Dominium Southeast office has now closed 1,355 units in 2022, increasing our Florida portfolio to 5,663 total units.

Aria Landings consists of 320 rent-restricted units built in 1999 and 2000 using 9% and 4% low-income housing tax credits. Dominium plans to re-syndicate the property in 2023. Upon re-syndication, the property will undergo an $11,840,000 million renovation, including upgrades to the clubhouse, fitness center, outdoor amenity space, landscaping, unit exteriors, building exteriors, and more. The site consists of 27 total buildings, 26 of which are garden-style residential buildings and will add to Dominium’s existing portfolio in the Fort Myers and Capel Coral market.

This acquisition debt financing was provided by KeyBank. This project would not have been possible without the support of our development partners, including but not limited to: KeyBank, Dominium Construction & Architecture Services, Nelson Mullins, Winthrop & Weinstine, and Commercial Partners Title. We would like to thank these partners for their continued commitment to providing affordable housing and for their ongoing partnership with Dominium.

In addition, a special thanks to Dominium team members Terry Sween, Katessa Archer, Brittany Baldwin, Katie Newman, Frances Williams, Banks Collier, Henry Dobbs, Francis Steven Singer, CPA, Paul Telander and Mike Brempell for their work on this acquisition.
