Downtown Sarasota Development Site Sold for $4.287 Million
The site of the planned MainView hotel in downtown Sarasota has been sold for $4.287 million. The previous owners purchased the site in May, 2022 for $1.9 million and were planning to build the MainView hotel. Recent changes in Sarasota’s zoning codes aimed at developing affordable housing increased the value of the property and made selling an attractive option. The new buyers have not indicated plans for the site.
