Emergency Homeless Shelter Opens at Riverside Station in Newton
has temporarily reopened the Hotel Indigo at Riverside Station to house 59 families experiencing homelessness. The shelter initiative is being lead by the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development along with the Catholic Charities of Boston and Mark Development.
Plans for a square-foot redevelopment of the area around the Riverside Station has been put on hold since December, 2022.
