Excavation Work Progressing at Auburn Avenue Apartments
Excavation work is continuing at the Auburn Avenue Apartments. Crews have been excavating in preparation for the parking garage of the new development on the west side of downtown Bethesda.
Bracket piles are being used to support the north adjacent building and underpinning for the building to the south since this new structure will be approximately 20 feet deeper than its neighbors.
Traditional piles and lagging are being used to support the east and west sides. Progress is ongoing, as another 7-10 feet to excavate before it reaches sub-terranean level. Photos courtesy of Stafford & Stafford
