Facade Work Nearly Finished for Dual-Tower Project in Greenpoint
General contractor, , has almost completed the facade installation process for a large, dual-tower development, at 77 Commercial Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Developed by , the structure consists of a 30-story rise, and a 40-story rise, connected by a 7-story podium.
The towers alone are set to contain 520 market-rate apartments, with the podium offering an additional 200 units, dedicated to affordable housing.
The podium (in addition to the affordable housing) will feature square feet of retail space and 4,595 square feet of community facilities. The entire structure will sit atop a large, enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.
Sitting on the banks of Newton Creek, 77 Commercial Street will also feature a waterfront esplanade. Designed by , the topped out structure stands feet tall and totals square feet. Construction is expected to complete by May of this year.
