Facade Work Wrapping Up at 100 Claremont Avenue
The facade installation process is nearly complete for a 42-story tower, going up at 100 Claremont Avenue in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.
Developers, Lendlease, and L+M Development Partners are jointly working on the mixed-use project which will expand the campus of Union Theological Seminary by adding 165 residential units, faculty housing, classrooms, and administrative office space.
Amenities are to include a fitness center, an indoor swimming pool, a library, a children's playroom, a dining room, a lounge with a roof terrace, and a makers space for creative minds.
Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, with SLCE Architects listed as the architect of record, the building's visual aesthetic will blend in seamlessly with the campus' English Gothic revival architecture.
Built by Lendlease in-house, the structure stands 466 feet tall and totals 345,096 square feet. The hilly terrain of Morningside Heights, combined with the campus' higher elevation means that 100 Claremont Avenue will be visible for miles in every direction. Construction is expected to complete sometime in early 2024.
