Federal Realty Planning Redevelopment of Pan Am Shopping Plaza
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is currently evaluating a possible change to the comprehensive plan for the Pan Am Shopping Center property. Located at the intersection of Lee Highway and Nutley Street in Fairfax, VA, the 25+ acre site has been owned by Federal Realty since 1993. The Pan Shopping plaza currently features 227,000 square feet of commercial space including a Safeway, Michaels, & CVS. Federal Realty says its goal with the redevelopment is to turn the plaza into “an amenitized and vibrant neighborhood.”
